Christmas without Smoked Salmon? Never!

It's really not very far away!

The snow and Ice last year gave us all many challenges in getting our smoked products to you. With just a couple of exceptions, happilly everything was delivered on time.

This time last year we were facing serious supply challenges of organic salmon and 2011 is little different.

We encourage you to place your orders good and early so that you can relax and strike one item off your to-do list; to help, we offer you a 5% discount on orders placed online between now and November 5th for delivery before Christmas. When completing the online payment form, just quote CHR2011 in the section where it asks "Do you have a Discount coupon or Gift Voucher?".

Ummera Bacon around Europe!

Babington's Tea Rooms at the Spanish Steps in Rome now has our bacon on the breakfast menu again as from this Tuesday, October 18th.

The Alternative Pizza Company is re-launching their range of superb artisan pizzas; one of their range has our smoked bacon as a topping; Got to be good!

Qualita Club in Italy is a group of quality Italian food and wine producers who have formed a loose co-operative marketing arm for their products.

Ummera is very excited to be invited to supply this group with our range of smoked products and look forward to supplying their customers throughout Italy.

Gone missing

Fishing for eel has been banned in Ireland for conservation reasons for the last couple of years. We were fortunate to have secured some stocks just prior to the ban, but they have now all gone.

The ban is being reviewed next year, 2012, so our Smoked Eel customers from Hawaii to Bandon Oregon, from Rome to Schull will have to be patient.

QR Cards?

We recently had to re-print our business cards and we have incorporated a rather peculiar looking square full of square dots - as in the image here.

The clever part is that, if you have a smart phone  (and who doesn't!), take a photo of the image with a QR Reader App and all our contact details are ready to bring into your Contact list or you can go direct to our website!

Foolishly we printed 1,000 cards when we only really needed just the one for everyone to take a photo of........!
