Artisan Food Festival at Superquinn

Hello 

Superquinn, Ireland's prestige supermarket chain, says on its website  that is "recognised throughout Ireland as a company that understands and responds to the customer". Certainly since the 1960's Superquinn has had the reputation for being a cut above the rest of the supermarkets in Ireland. It is therefore interesting that over the next two weekends Superquinn are offering some 80 artisan producers from all over Ireland the opportunity to promote their products in the 23 stores around Ireland .

Sadly they don't have a branch in Cork, so we have to travel to:

Superquinn Clonmel where we will be tomorrow and Friday (October 1st and 2nd) and

Superquinn Blackrock for Saturday and Sunday.

We will have for tasting and buying our Smoked Chicken, Smoked Dry Cured Bacon Rashers and our Organic Gravadlax, all award winners at The Great Taste Awards in recent years! 

It is a "Meet The Producer" event, so do come by and say hello!
Oh, and it's not just Ummera either! You will meet other producers over this weekend and next!

Good Food Ireland

Last week unfortunately I wasn't able to attend the Good Food Ireland Awards Picnic at the K Club;  Even being nominated for the "Best use of Sustainable Fish" award couldn't get us there! Congratulations though to The Connemara Smokehouse, the winner of this award!
